[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Park Jumin, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, expressed concern on the 5th about former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's resignation announcement, saying, "The resignation is also political," and warned that Yoon's political actions could damage the political neutrality of the prosecution.

In an interview with KBS Radio's 'Choi Kyung-young's Strongest Current Affairs' on the same day, Park said, "Usually, public officials do not submit or announce their resignation in that manner."

He added, "Recently, he has continued political actions and statements, and I felt that the resignation was also done very politically," and "The resignation statement actually gave the impression of a politician's declaration of departure."

Regarding Yoon's political actions, Park expressed concern, saying, "Shouldn't the prosecution remain politically neutral?" He emphasized, "Even during his tenure as Prosecutor General, he engaged in many actions that could be misunderstood as political moves," and "If he officially embarks on political activities, it will cause significant damage to the political neutrality of the prosecution."

On the ruling People Power Party supporting former Prosecutor General Yoon, he pointed out, "I hope they consider whether it is politically appropriate to support the political actions of the Prosecutor General," and "They should also contemplate the impact on the future social governance system."
