[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seung-jin] Former People Power Party lawmaker Yoo Seung-min sharpened his criticism toward the administration regarding Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's resignation, saying, "It will be recorded as a shameful disgrace of the Moon Jae-in administration in the constitutional history of the Republic of Korea and the history of the prosecution."

On the 4th, Yoo said through his Facebook account, "The current administration has vividly shown how far it can destroy the separation of powers, democracy, the rule of law, and the values of justice and fairness declared by the constitution under the pretext of prosecutorial reform to cover up the illegalities and corruption of the living power, and the people will surely remember this."

He continued, "I expected Prosecutor General Yoon to strictly investigate and indict the power-related corruption of the Moon Jae-in administration until the last day of his term," adding, "After Yoon's resignation, if the control of the prosecution by the power becomes stronger, I feel frustrated thinking about how the crimes of this administration can be punished."

Then, Yoo added, "However, I believe that the truth will ultimately prevail. Whether it is the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials or the Central Investigation Agency, no matter how much they try to seize control of the prosecution, if the power is replaced by the people's strength, their crimes will receive due punishment."

Finally, Yoo said, "Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, thank you for your hard work so far. I hope you will continue to uphold the spirit and values of the constitution and join the path of building a true democratic republic."
