At the meeting, Mayor Cho said, "I express my gratitude to the members of the Mujigae Dongsanhoe who have been volunteering for neighbors in need by utilizing the skills and talents acquired through long-term citizen capability development education," and added, "I hope COVID-19 will subside quickly so that we can volunteer freely."
Newly appointed Chairperson Jeong Min-ja expressed her aspirations, saying, "Once the COVID-19 situation calms down, I want to expand talent donations into more diverse fields and carry out volunteer activities for marginalized groups."
Meanwhile, Mujigae Dongsanhoe consists of 110 members and conducts regular volunteer activities once a month at welfare facilities in the city, including hairdressing services, musical instrument performances, and Danjeon breathing exercises. In November of last year, they provided hairdressing services and personally baked bread to encourage residents of Yangok Village in Naedong-myeon, who suffered flood damage.
