Guinmo Gochang County Governor Participates in Fire Safety 119 Relay Challenge

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 4th, Gu In-mo, the mayor of Geochang County, participated in the fire safety campaign by taking over the '119 Relay Challenge' from Hwang In-hong, the mayor of Muju County, praying for fire prevention and the safety of the residents.

This 119 Relay Challenge is a campaign that started on November 9 last year, the 58th Firefighting Day, to widely promote the necessity of fire extinguishers and detectors and encourage their installation.

Through the campaign, Gu In-mo, mayor of Geochang County, held a placard with the message "For small fires, prepare; for big fires, evacuate first," along with ▲1 (one per house or vehicle) ▲1 (one fire extinguisher or detector) ▲9 (let's equip them), urging everyone to participate in fire prevention.

Since 2017, Geochang County has supported fire-vulnerable groups by providing residential fire safety facilities (fire extinguishers and detectors). Recently, the related ordinance was revised to expand the support target to all residents, taking the lead in preventing residential fires.

Gu In-mo, mayor of Geochang County, nominated Seo Chun-soo, mayor of Hamyang County, Moon Jun-hee, mayor of Hapcheon County, and Lee Jae-geun, mayor of Sancheong County, as the next participants in the 119 Relay Challenge.
