Yeonggwang-gun Selected for Contest to Strengthen Public Service Linkage in Residents' Living Areas

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seong-jeong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 4th that it has been selected for the "Strengthening Public Service Linkage in Residents' Living Sites" project organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

This public contest project is aimed at establishing a service provision system centered on eup and myeon (towns and townships) to provide integrated welfare services to residents who need counseling or service linkage in public service areas such as welfare, health, housing, and employment.

The county activated visiting health and welfare services by building a welfare blind spot discovery network using highly accessible community communication channels under the theme of "Providing Integrated Services through Establishing a Eup and Myeon-centered Public Service Platform," discovering welfare blind spots and sharing welfare information.

The county plans to establish a community-integrated care system by opening and operating a public-private cooperation sharing platform where residents can voluntarily engage in sharing activities and communicate with neighbors.

In particular, through this project, the county is expected to strengthen the community network and establish a rapid support system from discovering families in crisis to linkage and support, thereby resolving welfare blind spots and building a people-centered inclusive welfare system.
