[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Kiwoom Securities analyzed on the 4th that Dexter is playing a leading role in raising the quality of major domestic movies and dramas to the next level.

Namsoo Lee, a researcher at Kiwoom Securities, said, "Dexter has been registered in the Netflix Post Partner Program," and explained, "As the expectations for content from both domestic and global audiences increase, investments by production companies to enhance technical completeness will also increase."

He added, "The advantage lies not only in CG and VFX technology but also in its dominant position in sound and video correction," and "As the scope of content expands to advertising, cinematics, digital signage, etc., it is establishing itself as an essential course in the video content industry."

Lee also analyzed, "On the 2nd, they disclosed new facility investments related to the virtual production studio," and "Representative works of the next-generation immersive content production system, virtual production, include HBO's 'Game of Thrones' and Disney Plus's 'The Mandalorian.'"

He emphasized, "The virtual studio is characterized by its ability to expand CG and VFX, which traditionally belong to the correction stage, from post-production to the overall planning stage industrially."

Furthermore, he said, "Through virtual scouting, production companies can reduce production costs compared to traditional offline filming," and predicted, "The VFX studio will achieve orders exceeding 10-30%, the existing production cost ratio of VFX, by expanding its order scope."

Lee stated, "We expect an increase in investment from global OTT platforms and an expansion of blockbuster content to overcome the sluggish film industry," and explained, "Performance will improve through self-planned films such as 'The Moon' and tentpole film 'Oegyein' (Alien)."

He estimated that on a consolidated basis this year, sales will reach 41.3 billion KRW and operating profit 5.2 billion KRW. This represents an increase of 57%, and 2487% respectively compared to the previous year.

Lee emphasized, "By diversifying production capabilities through Vlad Studio and Dexter Pictures, risks can be managed efficiently and orders will increase steadily."
