Joint Research on Ultra-Fine Dust Reduction Performance of KitchenPlus with Leading Domestic and International Research Institutes
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheolhyun] Kyungdong Navien announced on the 4th that it has launched the 'Navien Clean Ventilation System Kitchen Plus.' This product is specialized in managing the kitchen and home during cooking, which generates the largest amount of harmful substances indoors. Optimal performance is achieved when the Navien Clean Ventilation System, 3D Air Hood, and specialized ducts for kitchen-focused exhaust are applied as one system.
Kyungdong Navien also conducted joint research on the fine dust reduction performance of Kitchen Plus with Seoul National University, University of Seoul, and Pennsylvania State University. They compared and analyzed cases of operating general ventilation devices and range hoods during cooking with cases using Kitchen Plus through a 3D Air Hood connected to the Clean Ventilation System. After a total cooking time of 13 minutes, the range hood was operated for an additional 30 minutes according to the Ministry of Environment's recommended standards. As a result, when using Kitchen Plus, the total amount of fine dust in the kitchen and living room significantly decreased, recovering to a 'Good' level in a shorter time.
Kim Siwhan, Head of Marketing at Kyungdong Navien, said, "Up to 60 times more harmful substances are generated during cooking than usual, and these harmful substances spread quickly to indoor spaces such as the living room, making it dangerous. Managing harmful substances generated in the kitchen will be the ultimate solution for indoor air quality management."
