Free Pungsoo Voice Event for the Entire Month of March

From now on, navigation on Tmap will provide voice guidance using voices of celebrities, cartoon characters, and more.

Tmap Mobility announced on the 4th that it will launch the 'Tmap Celeb' service with this feature.

Tmap Celeb is a service utilizing AI-based speech synthesis technology (TTS, Text-To-Speech). It provides navigation by mixing celebrities' signature phrases and intonations with TTS synthesized voices.

Starting with the popular EBS character 'Pengsoo's voice, the service will add about 20 voices within the year, including comedian 'Ahn Young-mi' later this month and voice actress 'Park Ji-yoon', who voiced Anna in the animation Frozen, next month.

The service will first be released for the Android operating system (OS) and will be available in the latest version of the Tmap application. It can be accessed through the 'Navigation Voice' or 'Settings' menu at the top left within the app.

Tmap Mobility is holding an event allowing users to download Pengsoo's voice for free until the end of this month to experience the service. After the event period, users can purchase voices for one-time fees ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 KRW, which can be used for six months.

Tmap Mobility plans to expand the platform into a C2C (consumer-to-consumer) voice content platform where not only celebrities but also general users can record and sell their own voices.

Lee Jong-gap, head of the Tmap Life group, said, "We diversified navigation voices and added fun elements to enhance users' voice user experience (VUX). We will expand the navigation service to be enjoyable for everyone by allowing general users' voices to be added in the future."
