[Asia Economy Reporter Kim So-young] Accountant Kim Kyung-yul, co-author of the 'Cho Kuk Black Book,' directly criticized Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun's remark that Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's actions "seem like those of a politician," calling him a "hypocrite incarnate."
On the 3rd, Accountant Kim posted on his Facebook, "He was the Speaker of the National Assembly just the other day, now he wants to be Prime Minister, disregarding the separation of powers. He must feel that his behavior on News Factory is very appropriate," strongly criticizing him.
Kim's criticism refers to the fact that when Chung, who served as Speaker of the 20th National Assembly during its first half, was nominated as Prime Minister in January last year, concerns were raised that it was inappropriate for the second-highest protocol rank, the Speaker, to move to the fifth rank, Prime Minister, and that it could undermine the separation of powers. Kim is revisiting this issue.
Earlier that morning, Prime Minister Chung appeared on TBS Radio's 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory' and said, "Prosecutor General Yoon seems like a politician rather than an ordinary administrator or public official," and evaluated his behavior as "inappropriate."
Later the same day, Prime Minister Chung pointed out on Facebook, "If he truly wants to express his convictions, he should resign and conduct himself with dignity," adding, "As Prime Minister overseeing the executive branch, I deeply regret Prosecutor General Yoon's remarks and behavior that incite the public."
