[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Research and Information Center will hold an online briefing session related to the 2022 academic year college entrance examination.

On the 4th, the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education Research and Information Center announced that it will provide videos of the online briefing session on college entrance guidance on the Seoul Career and College Admission Information Center website and the YouTube channels of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and the Research and Information Center.

The 2022 academic year college entrance examination will see significant changes, including the introduction of a selective CSAT without distinction between humanities and sciences, expansion of regional balanced talent selection and regular admission in universities located in the metropolitan area. The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education will conduct the online briefing session to provide admission information for high school seniors’ guidance teachers, students, and parents.

The briefing session will feature current teachers from the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education College Admission Guidance Support Group, who have extensive experience in college admission guidance. Based on the analysis of the 2022 academic year college entrance examination, it contains useful and specific information that can be utilized for admission guidance at the beginning of the school year.

The main topics include ▲ Changes and guidance for the 2022 academic year college entrance examination ▲ Characteristics and understanding of changes in the 2022 CSAT ▲ Understanding and preparation for each type of 2022 college entrance examination, including comprehensive student record screening, student record screening by subject, and arts and physical education fields.

In addition to the online briefing session, the Research and Information Center will develop a booklet titled 'Understanding and Preparation for the 2022 Academic Year College Entrance Examination' and distribute it to high schools in Seoul within this month.
