Movie 'Seobok' to Premiere Simultaneously on OTT and in Theaters Next Month

CJ ENM announced on the 3rd that the movie "Seobok" will be simultaneously released on the online video service (OTT) TVING and in theaters on the 15th of next month.

The Film Business Division stated, "With the rapidly changing perspectives and needs of consumers regarding content due to COVID-19, we aim to reach more audiences through various platforms." They explained, "By releasing simultaneously on OTT and in theaters, we intend to provide audiences with more choices and coexist with theaters struggling due to the lack of new releases."

TVING said, "We boldly decided to invest because this work can offer a specialized content experience to our users," adding, "We will continue to expand original content across various genres."

"Seobok" is a drama depicting the story of Giheon, an intelligence agent who secretly transfers Seobok, humanity's greatest cloned human, and becomes entangled in unexpected situations. Directed by Lee Yong-ju, known for "Believer" and "Architecture 101," the film stars Gong Yoo, Park Bo-gum, and Jo Woo-jin.
