I am also very pleased that mutual cooperation between the two countries is being strengthened according to the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2019."

Minister Jeong Young-ae said, "At a time when women's employment issues have become more important due to COVID-19, I am honored to hold a forum with Sweden at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women to explore ways to promote gender equality in employment. We will faithfully implement the Korea-Sweden Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Gender Equality and continue exchanges and cooperation with Sweden to spread the gender equality agenda in the international community."
