[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the afternoon of the 2nd at 4 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, held a signing ceremony and meeting for the approval of the project implementation plan for the Junggyebon-dong (Baeksa Village) housing redevelopment project in the mayor's office.
With the district's approval of the project implementation plan for the Baeksa Village redevelopment site, the residential area redevelopment of Baeksa Village is expected to be fully underway.
Baeksa Village will feature 1,953 apartment units up to 20 stories high and 485 multi-family housing units up to 4 stories high, proceeding as a new form of urban regeneration project that partially preserves existing terrain such as alleyways.
After selecting a construction company in the second half of this year, construction is planned to begin following the approval of the management disposition plan in 2022, aiming for completion in the first half of 2025.
The signing ceremony and meeting were attended by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, Hwang Jin-sook, Chairman of the Junggyebon-dong Housing Redevelopment Project Residents' Representative Committee, Kim Yong-seop, Director of the Urban Regeneration Project Department at Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation, among others, proceeding with the signing ceremony for project implementation plan approval, commemorative photo session, and meeting.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, "After many trials and tribulations, we have finally reached the stage of project implementation plan approval," and urged, "Please do your best until the end to create a new Baeksa Village where the past and present coexist."
