In Seoha-myeon, Hamyang County, on February 27, the ‘Hamyang Residential Platform Leading Project Move-in Ceremony’ was successfully held with the attendance of Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun, Kim Sa-yeol, chairman of the National Balanced Development Committee, Byeon Chang-heum, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Kim Hyun-soo, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and Kim Kyung-soo, governor of Gyeongnam Province.
Mayor Seo said, “The ‘Nongchon Utopia’ project, which started first nationwide in our county, can be a cornerstone not only for the win-win development of urban and rural areas but also for revitalizing declining rural areas and regenerating them into sustainable rural communities,” and repeatedly urged, “Please do your best to further expand Nongchon Utopia so that the county can lead the balanced development of urban and rural areas, a core task of the current government.”
Along with this, Mayor Seo conveyed that as COVID-19 vaccinations begin, thorough measures should be taken regarding vaccine supply and facility installation, and efforts should be made to ensure thorough publicity so that citizens voluntarily comply with quarantine rules such as the extension of social distancing to level 1.5.
In addition, he requested thorough preparation for the successful hosting of the 2021 Hamyang Wild Ginseng Anti-Aging Expo, as well as diligent handling of current COVID-19 tasks, population increase, securing national and provincial funds, and wildfire prevention.
