A senior Blue House official said at a meeting with reporters on the 2nd, "The National Assembly will exercise its legislative power by compiling public opinions on prosecution reform," adding, "The prosecution should respect the National Assembly and calmly present its opinions according to the established procedures."
Earlier, Prosecutor General Yoon stated in a media interview that "the removal of the prosecution's investigative authority grants extraterritorial privilege to powerful forces," and claimed it was "a regression of democracy and a destruction of the constitutional spirit."
