[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] The Jangheung-eup Community Security Council in Jangheung-gun, Jeonnam announced on the 2nd that it provided a three-month supply of adult diapers to 30 elderly people who use diapers due to physical disabilities and difficulties in daily life.
This project was explained to have been promoted to alleviate the economic burden of elderly people who mainly live at home or have mobility difficulties and need to use diapers due to various diseases and disabilities.
An elderly woman who received adult diapers on this day said, “After brain surgery, I have difficulty communicating and performing daily activities, so I use diapers, but the cost of diapers was always a burden. I am really grateful and thankful to receive such necessary supplies.”
Kim Jang-yong, the head of Jangheung-eup, said, “I regularly visit low-income households to carefully check their difficulties and always think about what practical support can be provided,” adding, “We will devote more interest and effort to customized welfare support for neighbors in need.”
