LG CNS Releases 'DevOn NCD' for Free... Program Development Without Coding Skills

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] LG CNS announced on the 2nd that it has made its platform ‘DevOn NCD,’ which enables program development without inputting a programming language, freely available on its official website.

NCD stands for ‘No Coding Development,’ omitting the actual coding process of inputting programming languages. Previously, developers had to learn and manually input various programming languages such as Java and C, similar to learning a foreign language. However, DevOn NCD simplifies this process, allowing even non-experts to develop programs at a level comparable to coding professionals.

DevOn NCD is designed to allow easy program development by dragging and dropping icons on the computer desktop with a mouse. Since the program operation process is visualized as a flow chart, developers simply drag and drop various functions represented by icons to desired locations.

Another advantage is that even general users without programming knowledge can use DevOn NCD after a short training period. While mastering programming languages typically takes about a year, DevOn NCD can be used effectively after approximately one month of learning.

Over the past six years, LG CNS has utilized DevOn NCD in over 1,000 projects across various industries such as public sector, distribution, and automotive. They have verified the effectiveness and versatility of DevOn NCD by implementing an average of more than 5,000 functions per project. LG CNS plans to provide DevOn NCD to universities and small businesses to expand the base of program development and will also cultivate development talent in collaboration with universities.
