LG Electronics explained that recently, as consumers have become more interested in health and hygiene, they are seeking large-capacity products that can manage multiple garments at once. Production of large-capacity products this year has doubled compared to the same period last year, and the production share of large-capacity products accounts for about 80%.
LG Electronics stated that the LG Tromm Styler took 9 years of research and development, and as of this year, holds 220 related global patents.
The LG Tromm Styler is characterized as a representative steam appliance equipped with TrueSteam technology, which boils water at 100 degrees Celsius to produce TrueSteam that is effective for deodorization and sterilization. LG Electronics said, "This product removes more than 99.99% of viruses on masks as well as clothing," citing test results from the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Chonnam National University. The Styler's hygiene sterilization virus course eliminated more than 99.99% of viruses such as Influenza A (H3N2), Adeno (ICHV), Herpes (IBRV), and Corona (PEDV).
Additionally, through the Moving Hanger Plus function, it shakes clothes up to 200 times per minute to evenly remove fine dust that is difficult to eliminate with air alone, and it has a function that reduces everyday wrinkles.
In line with changes in consumers' lifestyles, LG Electronics has released ▲ Tromm Styler Slim (2015) ▲ Tromm Styler Plus (2017) ▲ Tromm Styler Black Edition (2018) ▲ Tromm Styler Black Edition 2 (2020) ▲ Objet Collection Styler (2020), and up to managing 4 garments with the Objet Collection Styler.
