CU, Major Renewal of Triangle Kimbap... "50% More Toppings Than Before"

CU, Major Renewal of Triangle Kimbap... "50% More Toppings Than Before" CU is undertaking a major renewal of its triangular kimbap.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] CU announced on the 2nd that it will undertake a major renewal of its triangular gimbap to overcome COVID-19 and support a fresh start for the new semester.

CU applied new recipes to its steady sellers Jeonju Bibim, Tuna Mayo, and Tuna Bibim, enhancing the quality of raw ingredients and increasing toppings by up to 50% compared to before to achieve the best taste and balance. The most important rice is cooked using Saecheongmu rice developed by the Jeollanam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services. Prices will remain the same to help customers make economical purchases.

To celebrate the triangular gimbap renewal, CU will hold an event from the 3rd to the 7th where 150,000 triangular gimbaps will be sold at a 70% discount for only 300 won each to 30,000 people daily through Pocket CU reservation purchases. An additional event will also be held offering prizes for SNS reviews. At offline stores, from the 15th for fifteen days, the three newly released renewed triangular gimbaps will be offered at a 33% discount when paid with Samsung Card, KakaoPay, or CU Plus T-money Card to expand customer touchpoints. A +1 free gift benefit will also be provided when purchasing triangular gimbap through Kakao Gift.

A BGF Retail official said, “Triangular gimbap has been an iconic product representing convenience stores for over 30 years and holds a meaning beyond just a meal filling our daily lives. This renewal has been carefully crafted in all aspects including taste, quantity, quality, and price to enhance customer satisfaction, so customers will be able to experience another charm of triangular gimbap.”
