Five Soldiers Confirmed COVID-19 Positive at Sejong Military Base

[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] According to Sejong City on the 2nd, five soldiers stationed at a local military unit were confirmed positive for COVID-19 the day before.

Earlier, on the 28th, a confirmed case numbered Daejeon 1191 (serving at the Sejong military unit) was diagnosed positive after undergoing testing due to symptoms such as fever and headache.

Subsequently, health authorities conducted comprehensive testing on all personnel at the military unit where the confirmed case was found, resulting in four additional positive cases (Sejong 228 to 231).

Health authorities are currently conducting epidemiological investigations to trace the infection routes of the five confirmed cases.
