[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 1st that it is accepting applications until the 17th for the recruitment of design VE review committee members in the complex sector and material·construction method selection committee members.

'Design VE' is a construction management technique that enhances performance and reduces costs at the design stage to increase the value of construction projects, and the 'Material·Construction Method Selection Committee' is a committee operated to improve transparency and fairness in selecting materials and construction methods applied in civil engineering and landscaping fields.

This recruitment aims to form a rich pool of committee members who can respond immediately to special situations such as COVID-19, and differentiates itself from previous recruitments by newly adding the 'Smart City' sector, a key element of the 3rd New Town specialized plan, to the design VE field.

The recruitment targets 17 fields for design VE and 6 fields for the material·construction method selection committee, and if qualification requirements are met, it is possible to participate in both design VE review and material·construction method selection committees simultaneously.

Selected committee members will be active from April 1st next month until the end of March 2023. The main activities include participating in design VE for each field as design VE review members, and participating in committees to decide on materials and construction methods used in civil engineering and landscaping works as material·construction method review members.

LH plans to select and reward outstanding committee members at the end of each year to encourage active participation and improve design and construction quality.
