[Golf Topic] McIlroy "Wearing Red to Wish Woods a Speedy Recovery"

[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] ○…Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) will wear clothes wishing for the recovery of 'Golf Emperor' Tiger Woods (USA), who was involved in a traffic accident.

On the 28th (Korean time), the American Golf Channel reported, "McIlroy and Patrick Reed (USA) will wear red tops and black bottoms on the final day of the World Golf Championships (WGC) Series Workday Championship (total prize money $10.5 million) held at the Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Florida (par 72, 7,474 yards)." This follows the golf outfit color that Woods wears on the last day of every tournament. Woods suffered severe leg injuries in a car rollover accident on the 24th.

McIlroy and Reed are tied for 5th place (11 under par, 205 strokes) and will play together in the same group on the final day. Collin Morikawa leads (15 under par, 201 strokes), with Brooks Koepka and Billy Horschel (both USA) tied for 2nd place (13 under par, 203 strokes). Max Homa (USA) said on social media, "I only heard about Woods' accident after arriving at the tournament venue, so I didn't bring black bottoms or a red top," adding, "I will wish for his recovery in another way."
