[Asia Economy Reporter Hana Na] Global pop star Lady Gaga announced a $500,000 (about 550 million won) reward for finding her two kidnapped pet dogs, and AP News reported that the pets have been safely recovered.
The Los Angeles (LA) Police Department announced on the 26th (local time) around 6 p.m. that a woman brought two French Bulldogs, Lady Gaga's pets, to a local police station. Lady Gaga's representatives confirmed at the police station that these dogs were indeed Gaga's bulldogs.
The police stated that it is uncertain whether the woman who brought the dogs to the station will receive the reward. They also explained that the woman does not appear to be involved in the kidnapping, and the exact circumstances under which she secured the dogs have not yet been determined.
According to a previous report by Reuters, Lady Gaga had left three pet dogs in Hollywood, Los Angeles, while she was staying in Rome, Italy for a film shoot.
On the 24th, Gaga's dog walker (30, male) was shot by assailants while taking the dogs out for a walk and was hospitalized. He is currently in critical condition.
At the time, while the dog walker was shot and collapsed, the assailants snatched two of the dogs and fled. The remaining dog ran away at the scene but was later found safely. Police believe the shooter is male and fled in a white car.
