6 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Gwangju... Diverse Infection Routes


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Six COVID-19 confirmed cases have been reported in Gwangju Metropolitan City through various infection routes.


According to Gwangju City on the 27th, as of 2 p.m. that day, six people tested positive and were classified as Gwangju cases 2071 to 2076.


Gwangju case 2071 is related to Jeonnam case 853. The infection route of Jeonbuk case 835 is under investigation.


Gwangju cases 2072 to 2073 are confirmed cases related to the LINA Life Insurance call center.


The cumulative confirmed cases related to the LINA Life Insurance call center are 1 on the 22nd, 24 on the 23rd, 11 on the 24th, 7 on the 25th, 6 on the 26th, and 2 on the 27th (as of 2 p.m.), totaling 51 cases.


Gwangju cases 2074 to 2075 are contacts of Gwangju case 2058. The number of confirmed cases related to Gwangju case 2058, whose infection route has not yet been identified, has increased to five.


Gwangju case 2076 is also considered by health authorities to be an nth-generation infection originating from Gwangju case 2059, whose infection route is unknown.


The number of new confirmed cases on this day is currently six.


Of the 8,395 COVID-19 tests conducted the previous day, 1,023 tests are still in progress.
