ToBeSoft Reports Separate Operating Profit of 2.5 Billion KRW Last Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] ToBeSoft, a developer of enterprise user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), succeeded in turning operating profit positive on a separate basis last year.

ToBeSoft announced on the 26th that it recorded an operating profit of 2.5 billion KRW last year. It posted separate basis sales of 32.3 billion KRW and a net loss of 23.7 billion KRW. On a consolidated basis during the same period, it recorded sales of 38.8 billion KRW, an operating loss of 800 million KRW, and a net loss of 24.5 billion KRW.

A ToBeSoft official explained, "Due to the sluggish business conditions caused by COVID-19 last year, IT service orders decreased," adding, "We focused on strengthening business capabilities and improving profitability from a long-term perspective."

He added, "Since we succeeded in turning a profit through increased operational efficiency, we expect to resolve the issue of being designated as a management item."

Furthermore, he said, "As the untact culture spreads, demand for next-generation UI and UX development that moves away from the existing screen format will increase," and added, "We expect this year to be a year of strengthening growth in our core business and achieving results in the bio and cold chain businesses."
