[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon evaluated Gyeonggi Governor Lee Jae-myung on the 25th, saying, "He practices populism almost at an artistic level," and added, "When a new administration comes in, he will completely overturn the pro-Moon (친문) faction and hold them accountable for national governance."

In an interview with the YouTube channel Sisa Journal TV on the same day, former professor Jin stated, "(Governor Lee) will receive help from the pro-Moon faction until he becomes president, but after that, there is a perception within the pro-Moon forces that he can turn into an enemy at any time depending on the political situation."

Jin analyzed, "What the pro-Moon faction is good at is populism, and even though they use brilliant tactics against the People Power Party, they cannot use such tactics in front of Governor Lee," adding, "So they seem to be uneasy and feel a sense of fear about that."

He continued, "Even Lee Nak-yeon, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, can be controlled and shaken by them (the pro-Moon faction). In fact, that is what is happening," and said, "But Governor Lee is somewhat different. In reality, the one who is wielding the knife against them is not the People Power Party but this side (Governor Lee)."

He also mentioned, "They have done things to Governor Lee as well. When the Gyeonggi governor election took place, who was the one who troubled him? It was Minister of the Interior and Safety Jeon Hae-cheol from the Owl Group," and added, "They carried out persistent, mean, and dirty operations against Governor Lee. Because they have done such things, they must be on high alert."

Former professor Jin criticized, "Lee Jae-myung is not a pro-Moon heir, so he has no choice but to make himself known through issue fighting. That is why he keeps relying on it," and said, "That might help in the short term, but it is not a good approach in the long run. Governor Lee is showing the essence of division, and there is no difference from the pro-Moon faction."

He emphasized, "What people want now is not division but leadership for unity. One must read the spirit of this era well to succeed."
