The vaccination targets were residents and workers of elderly care facilities aged 64 and under, and the vaccine used was AstraZeneca.
On this day, the county completed vaccinations for 40 people at Jangseong Public Geriatric Hospital, 10 people at Baekyang Nursing Hospital, 10 people at Sarang Nanum Nursing Home, and 10 people at Inyeji Healing Forest, and monitored for adverse symptoms for 30 minutes after vaccination.
The next vaccination day is scheduled for the 2nd of next month, with vaccinations planned at Jangseong Public Geriatric Hospital (36 people), Baekyang Nursing Hospital (20 people), Ghana Silver Home (9 people), Hyo Nanum Nursing Home (12 people), and Francis House (69 people).
On the 3rd of next month, vaccinations will continue at Baekyang Nursing Hospital (39 people), Shalom House (19 people), and Siil Health Town (161 people).
The county plans to monitor the vaccinated individuals for one week at the facilities to respond to any emergencies such as side effects.
Vaccinations for those aged 65 and older are expected to begin around April, and the remaining residents aged 19 to 64, adult chronic patients, firefighters, police officers, and education and childcare facility workers will receive vaccinations starting in July.
The secured vaccines include four types: AstraZeneca, Janssen, Pfizer, and Moderna, but vaccine recipients cannot choose the type of vaccine.
Governor Yoo Doo-seok said, “We will prepare every step thoroughly to ensure that more than 70% of all residents can receive the vaccine.”
