Pamisel, Patent for Electrolyte Manufacturing Method for Secondary Batteries

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Pamisel announced on the 26th that it has obtained a patent for "Fluorosulfonylimide Alkali Metal Salts and Their Manufacturing Method" used as an electrolyte for secondary batteries.

This patent relates to the manufacturing method of electrolytes used in secondary batteries for various electronic devices. It is a field expected to see continuous growth in demand. In particular, the process simplifies the existing manufacturing method, enabling the production of high-purity materials at low cost.

A company representative stated, "We plan to promote the commercialization of the patented technology through cooperation with domestic and international companies," and added, "We will continue to develop new materials for secondary battery electrolytes to create new revenue sources."

Pamisel recorded sales of 37.8 billion KRW and an operating profit of 7.2 billion KRW last year, increasing by 16% and 268% respectively compared to the previous year. Due to the recent surge in RNA vaccine demand caused by COVID-19 and the launch of RNA therapeutic products by global pharmaceutical companies, sales of raw pharmaceutical materials are expected to increase this year as well.
