Amorepacific Signs Business Partnership Agreement with eBay Korea

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Amorepacific announced on the 26th that it has signed a Joint Business Partnership (JBP) agreement to strengthen strategic collaboration with eBay Korea, which operates Gmarket, Auction, and G9.

At the business agreement ceremony held on the 25th at Amorepacific headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Amorepacific CEO Saehong Ahn and eBay Korea President Hangil Jeon attended as representatives of each company. The two companies agreed to closely cooperate to provide a differentiated shopping experience centered on eBay Korea’s specialized ‘Smile’ series services and to strengthen collaboration on shopping data.

Through this agreement, Amorepacific plans to offer a more convenient shopping experience by linking eBay Korea’s logistics and delivery platform ‘Smile Delivery’ and paid membership service ‘Smile Club’ from the ‘Smile’ series with Amorepacific brands. Additionally, based on eBay Korea’s shopping data, they will introduce sophisticated personalized customer services and promotions, as well as collaborate on developing shopping content such as live commerce.

Amorepacific CEO Saehong Ahn emphasized, “Through this partnership, we expect to present not only a differentiated shopping experience but also extensive customer benefits based on data,” adding, “We hope that close cooperation will lead to good results for both companies.”

eBay Korea President Hangil Jeon said, “We expect to generate high synergy by diversifying sales and marketing strategies through strategic collaboration with Amorepacific and enhancing shopping content and customer benefits.”
