On-Tact Era Hamyang-gun Rural New Vitality Plus Project Non-Face-to-Face Online Education Conducted
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Rural New Vitality Plus Project Promotion Team in Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 25th that the 2021 Hamyang Wild Ginseng New Vitality Academy education will be conducted as non-face-to-face online training.
This training, held four times a week for a total of 40 sessions, is composed of common education and three expert courses to cultivate personnel who will serve as the core for promoting the New Vitality Plus Project.
Those who complete more than 80% of the common education are given the opportunity to participate in the expert courses, which include wild ginseng successor training, wild ginseng processing and distribution education, and wild ginseng anti-aging education, with experts in each field invited as instructors for in-depth sessions.
The online training held on the 24th and 25th was conducted in real-time online streaming by filming lecture videos live, featuring Professor Han Sang-deok from Gyeongsang National University and Dr. Yoon Seon, CEO of Yoonseon Marketing Research Institute, covering basic education on the New Vitality Plus Project, wild ginseng industry innovation, and social economy education.
Lee Do-seong, head of the Rural New Vitality Plus Project Promotion Team in Hamyang-gun, said, “Although the online education introduced for the first time may be difficult for residents at first, due to COVID-19, we could not simply postpone the training, so we proceeded with real-time online education. We will complement the shortcomings of professional online education and expand its advantages.”
As this online education is a changed educational method applied in a new environment, it is expected to become the main format for future education not only for New Vitality Plus but also for the residents of the county.
Meanwhile, the Hamyang-gun Rural New Vitality Plus Project, selected in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs’ 2019 public contest, is being promoted with a budget of 7 billion KRW over four years from 2019 to 2022 to diversify and add high value to the wild ginseng industry, discover human resources centered on the wild ginseng industry, utilize private organizations and strengthen capabilities, thereby creating jobs and establishing a foundation for regional development.
