[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Tiger Woods, the "Golf Emperor" of the United States, who suffered severe leg injuries in a car rollover accident, has expressed his determination to make a comeback.

On the 24th (local time), the American magazine People, citing sources close to Woods, reported Woods' feelings after undergoing emergency surgery and regaining consciousness.

The source said, "Woods is aware that his golf career might be at risk due to the car accident," adding, "However, Woods does not want his golf life to end like this."

They continued, "Woods will do whatever it takes to continue playing golf."

They also mentioned that Woods will soon make some serious decisions about his future.

The source said, "Even before the car rollover accident, Woods was frustrated because he could not participate in golf tournaments due to back surgery, and the car accident only added to his disappointment."

Woods had undergone his fifth back surgery at the end of last month and was in rehabilitation when he suffered the unfortunate accident on the 23rd in Los Angeles (LA) County, California.

The source stated, "Woods expected this year to be his comeback year, but clearly, that will not happen now," calling it a disappointing situation for Woods.

They added, "Woods knows this accident is a major adversity, but just as he has overcome obstacles in the past, he believes he can do it again this time."

Meanwhile, Woods, regarded as a living legend of golf, has faced numerous injuries, surgeries, and infidelity scandals since his professional debut in 1996, but he has risen again and holds the record for the most wins on the PGA Tour with 82 victories.
