First Phase 1,065 People Vaccinated on March 2... Priority Vaccination for Nursing Hospital Workers and Users
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 25th that the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has arrived, and vaccination is scheduled to be completed by May for 1,065 workers and users of nursing hospitals.
The vaccines that arrived this time are enough for a total of 1,300 people and were delivered to the public health center and five nursing hospitals, with additional vaccine supplies expected in the future.
Workers and users of nursing facilities will receive the first dose starting from March 2 and complete the second dose by May. From May, the first dose will be administered to residents and workers of group facilities and seniors aged 65 and older, followed by general adults aged 19 to 64 who will be vaccinated sequentially according to guidelines.
Governor Kim San said, "We have established a close cooperation system with related organizations to ensure that vaccination proceeds smoothly according to the government plan," and urged, "Even after vaccination, please strictly follow quarantine rules such as social distancing until COVID-19 is completely eradicated."
Meanwhile, Muan-gun has formed a vaccination implementation promotion team consisting of eight teams, including the vaccine supply team, vaccination institution operation team, and adverse reaction management team, led by the deputy governor, as well as a local consultative body to prepare for smooth vaccination.
