Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to Establish 250 Fisheries Funds This Year... Asset Management Company Recruitment

[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries plans to establish two fisheries funds worth 25 billion KRW this year and is recruiting two asset management companies to operate the funds by the 31st of next month.

According to the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries on the 25th, the fisheries funds are created through joint investment by the government's fisheries mother fund and private capital, investing in fisheries companies with high growth potential. Since 2010, the ministry has created 13 fisheries funds and invested a total of 102.5 billion KRW.

This year, two funds will be established: a 15 billion KRW general fisheries fund and a 10 billion KRW fisheries venture fund.

Asset management companies interested in operating the funds can submit the relevant documents to the Agricultural Policy Insurance Finance Service by the 31st of next month.
