Chosun University Produces 4,077 Graduates in the First Semester of 2020 Academic Year

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Chosun University announced on the 25th that it has produced 4,077 graduates for the first semester of the 2020 academic year.

The 2020 first semester graduates include 3,798 bachelor's degree holders, 204 master's degree holders (113 general, 91 special), and 75 doctoral degree holders.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Chosun University canceled the degree conferment ceremony (graduation ceremony) and instead operated academic gown rentals and photo zones for commemorative photos.

Additionally, instead of a graduation ceremony, a "Graduation Congratulatory Video" featuring congratulatory messages from President Min Young-don and deans of the colleges was produced and uploaded on the official website.

President Min Young-don said, "I sincerely congratulate you on overcoming the unprecedented crisis of COVID-19 and achieving the honor of graduation," and added, "Graduates, please never forget that you are beautiful trees with strong roots called Chosun University, and I wish you to move forward toward a bright future."
