[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Eightone, a company listed on KOSDAQ, announced on the 24th that it has officially launched the video conferencing platform ‘AIIT LIVE,’ which provides multilingual translation functions using artificial intelligence (AI)-based voice recognition technology.
‘AIIT LIVE,’ introduced by Eightone, is a video conferencing platform focused on eliminating the ‘language barrier’ through AI engine-based STT (Speech-to-Text) voice recognition technology. The platform offers simultaneous translated subtitles in 10 languages worldwide by having AI interpret through voice recognition.
Different languages spoken between video conference users are translated in real time and displayed as subtitles, and the chat between users is equipped with multilingual translation technology based on AI. The platform also provides an automatic note-taking feature where AI automatically recognizes and summarizes the content of the video conference.
The ‘AIIT LIVE’ video conferencing platform is designed using the ‘Web RTC (Real Time Communication)’ method, allowing users to communicate with each other without the need for plugins between web browsers. The company explained that since AIIT LIVE emphasizes compatibility among global users with the advantage of ‘transcending language barriers,’ unlike the existing on-premise method that requires installation on each user’s PC to run the solution, it was developed to be immediately usable in large-scale meetings or lectures with up to 500 participants without separate solution installation by leveraging cloud characteristics.
Choi Cheolsun, CEO of Eightone, stated, “Recently, as demand for remote work and education is increasing worldwide, ‘AIIT LIVE’ differentiates itself by including all basic video conferencing platform functions such as real-time interactive meetings, lecture support, chat, multi-screen layout, whiteboard, document sharing, and recording, while solving the ‘language barrier’ problem with AI and voice recognition-based real-time interpretation and translation functions.” He added, “Since the ‘language barrier,’ which acts as the most fundamental issue in global market exchanges, has been resolved by AI technology, we plan to explore expansion into various fields including public institutions, educational institutions, companies, and globally recognized areas such as K-pop, based on diverse conveniences.”
