6 Startups Jointly Host 'Coding Festival 2021'


[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Six startups, including Watcha, Socar, Today’s House, Market Kurly, Brandy, and Bungaejangter, announced on the 24th that they will jointly host the 'Startup Coding Festival 2021 (hereinafter, Scope 2021)'. Scope 2021 was planned to discover talented developers and support their growth, led by six companies recognized as high-growth startups.


This competition is sponsored by the global cloud leader Amazon Web Services (AWS), and participants will solve coding challenges using cloud resources provided by AWS. The competition is divided into two rounds. In the first round, six problems will be presented, and the top 10% will qualify for the second round. The second round will feature high-difficulty problems to determine the final rankings.


The final winners of Scope 2021 will receive prize money of 3 million KRW for first place, 1 million KRW for second place, and 500,000 KRW for third place. Additionally, the top-ranking participants will be awarded 100 Apple devices, including MacBook Pro 13-inch, iPad Pro, Apple Watch, and AirPods Pro. Any developer aged 19 or older can participate, and the application period is until the 17th of next month. The entire process will be conducted online.
