Strengthening Differentiated Cultural Content... Scheduled to Open in December
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Walkerhill Hotel & Resort announced on the 23rd that it has secured the immersive media art exhibition hall 'Bunker of Light.' The strategy is to strengthen differentiated cultural content with the upcoming 'Bunker of Light' at the existing Walkerhill Theater.
Walkerhill's 'Bunker of Light' is an exhibition hall that introduces a French immersive media art project, where visitors can enjoy masterpieces of art history surrounded by dozens of beam projectors and speakers, along with matching music. This is the second project in Korea following the 'Bunker of Light' located in Jeju Island. It is planned to operate as the 'Bunker of Light' Seoul exhibition hall at Walkerhill Theater. Walkerhill Bunker of Light is scheduled to open this December.
Walkerhill and Timonet, the organizer and host of the exhibition project, recently signed a contract for the opening of the 'Bunker of Light.' The hotel explained that the contract signing took place with a minimal number of participants, including Hyun Mongju, Walkerhill General Manager, and Park Jinwoo, CEO of Timonet.
General Manager Hyun said, "As the industry advances and long-term low growth continues, a new form of healing is emerging," adding, "Walkerhill offers various programs that customers can enjoy at the hotel beyond lodging and restaurants, such as the 'Wellness' program that cares for both body and mind, 'VISTART' exhibiting works by young artists, and 'VISTAGE' that recharges emotions through performances. The new cultural content 'Bunker of Light' is also part of this initiative."
