Experience Store Open Until the 28th of Next Month
Showcasing Products from 43 SMEs and Mid-sized Companies in K-Beauty and Food Sectors
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] KOTRA is expanding the export opportunities of consumer goods for our small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies by partnering with a famous Japanese department store.
KOTRA announced on the 24th that it will hold an 'On-Offline K-Style Pop-up Store' at the Marui Department Store in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, until the 28th of next month. According to Marui Department Store's own survey, whose main customer base is people in their 20s and 30s, there was high demand from customers for opening offline stores where they could directly experience and purchase Korean products. This event was planned accordingly.
KOTRA will showcase K-Beauty and K-Food products from 43 Korean SMEs and mid-sized companies at the first-floor pop-up store of Marui Department Store Shibuya branch. The same products will also be sold on the department store’s dedicated Korean cosmetics online shopping mall, KOREAJU.
Kwon Pyung-oh, President of KOTRA, said, "Due to the impact of COVID-19, consumer trends in Japan are changing, making this a good opportunity to establish a foothold in the local market. We will strengthen cooperation with online and offline distribution channels in the future to expand the base of K-consumer goods in Japan."
