Signed a Business Agreement with Woori Technology Promotion Corporation on the 22nd
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] The Korea Agricultural Food Public Officials Education Institute announced on the 23rd a business agreement with the Ultra-Light Unmanned Flight Training Center of the nonprofit organization Woori Technology Promotion Corporation to foster experts in agricultural drones.
Kim Deokho, director of the Education Institute, and Jung Hyungkyun, representative director of the corporation, attended the business agreement held at the institute the day before.
The institute has provided agricultural drone education to 125 people since 2018.
The agreement includes operating a 25kg agricultural drone training course, technical consulting, outsourcing the drone training course including simulated flights, and issuing three types of national qualification certificates to those who complete the training.
The corporation was designated as a specialized training institution for ultra-light aircraft operators by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in September 2017. It is the institution that patented agricultural unmanned vehicles and developed the first domestically produced drone, K-1.
Director Kim said, "We will conduct agricultural drone training twice in the second half of the year, combining agriculture and ICT technology, to nurture 30 experts."
