Court Official Arrested for Attempted Sexual Assault in Restroom: "Serious Crime and Flight Risk"

On the 22nd, Shin Yong-mu, the warrant judge at the Seoul Eastern District Court, issued an arrest warrant for Mr. A, a man in his 30s and a court official affiliated with the same court, on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (rape and injury), stating, "The crime is serious and there is a risk of flight."

Mr. A is accused of assaulting and attempting to sexually assault a woman he had never met before in a restroom of a commercial building in Munjeong-dong, Songpa-gu, around 10 p.m. on the 17th. At the time, Mr. A was intoxicated, and when the victim resisted, he fled but was arrested by the police.
