According to the Haeundae Police Station in Busan on the 19th, at around 8:25 a.m., a 7-ton forklift driven by a man in his 50s, Mr. A, hit a woman in her 20s near the Shinsegae Centum City Mall in Haeundae.
The police stated that the woman was struck by the forklift's forks and was crushed underneath, dying at the scene.
At the time of the accident, the forklift was traveling in the third lane of a one-way three-lane road from the Worldmark Centum Apartment side toward Centum City Mall.
Mr. A was driving the vehicle under a yellow flashing signal and hit the woman who was crossing a crosswalk without a pedestrian signal, then passed by.
The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
