[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] On the 18th, Kwon Sang-do, a member of the People Power Party, once again urged the disclosure of whether Seo Mo, the son of Moon Da-hye, daughter of President Moon Jae-in (President Moon's grandson), was under self-quarantine. Kwon is currently being sued by Moon Da-hye for defamation by false facts.

On the same day, Kwon wrote on his Facebook, "I again urge the disclosure of whether President Moon's grandson received preferential treatment at Seoul National University Children's Hospital and whether he underwent self-quarantine for two weeks after returning from abroad."

He pointed out, "It is a fact that he received treatment at Seoul National University Children's Hospital, first in one department and then in two departments, so I don't understand what is false," and added, "The claim that witnessing him at the hospital constitutes medical information is just laughable."

He emphasized, "Seoul National University Children's Hospital is a place where it is difficult to make an appointment for treatment, so I again urge disclosure of whether the appointment was made from abroad, who made it, whether it was after entry, and whether he self-quarantined for two weeks after entry."

Earlier that day, it was revealed that Moon Da-hye had recently filed a police complaint against Kwon for defamation by false facts, after he raised suspicions of preferential treatment for Seo Mo.

Moon Da-hye is also known to have sued an employee of Seoul National University Hospital suspected of leaking her son's personal medical information. In this regard, Moon Da-hye appeared at the Cyber Investigation Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency last month for an investigation as a complainant.

In December last year, Kwon claimed on his Facebook that he received a tip that there were irregularities such as preferential treatment and advancing the appointment date during Seo Mo's treatment at Seoul National University Children's Hospital in May of the same year.

He said, "Seo Mo made an appointment for pediatrics but received treatment in other departments such as otolaryngology on the day of the appointment," and "to verify this tip, a former aide of the lawmaker's office interviewed hospital officials."

At that time, Kwon also requested the Blue House to provide evidence proving whether Seo Mo complied with quarantine guidelines, such as undergoing a two-week self-quarantine period upon entry. The Blue House reportedly responded that "it cannot be disclosed as it concerns personal information."

Subsequently, Moon Da-hye's legal representative stated in a press release, "Seo Mo did not violate any self-quarantine guidelines," and "there is no obligation to disclose personal information in response to Kwon's demands."

They added, "Seo Mo has suffered serious infringement of privacy due to Kwon's baseless suspicions," and "we ask to refrain from indiscriminate allegations unrelated to legislative activities."
