[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] On the 18th, SBS's "Delicious Rendezvous" aired an episode where Baek Jong-won and the Nongbengers met with citizens at the drive-thru plaza.
Baek Jong-won and the Nongbengers completed three months of preparation to meet the citizens.
Baek Jong-won said, "Let's serve food again like we did a year ago," and decided on scallion oil soy sauce noodles and gopchang noodles as the menu.
The citizens eagerly awaited the gopchang noodles, and Yang Se-hyung and Yoo Byung-jae volunteered to serve. After delivering 31 bowls of bright red gopchang noodles, the citizens all exclaimed, "Delicious!"
The prepared scallion oil soy sauce noodles were delivered shortly after. Yang Se-hyung said, "The scallions used in the scallion oil are long, so I will do a cutting ceremony right here."
The scallion oil soy sauce noodles also received favorable reviews.
Then, Baek Jong-won took a break with the Nongbengers before starting preparations for dinner again.
The Nongbengers also took time to boast about the specialties from their hometowns. When Yang Se-hyung mentioned "Jeonggi Clear Soyosan," Baek Jong-won expressed his affection for his wife So Yoo-jin, saying, "For a moment, I thought you said 'So Lady'."
At that moment, actress Lee Sun-bin arrived at "Baekya Restaurant" carrying a bunch of potatoes. Lee Sun-bin said, "When I was young, my mother made braised potatoes with small potatoes. I naturally grew to like them from a young age. I eat the potatoes first in dishes like spicy braised chicken or steamed chicken," introducing herself as a "potato maniac."
Lee Sun-bin said, "I like hand-pulled dough soup with potatoes the most. It holds so many memories, and my family often ate hand-pulled dough soup when we dined out since I was young," adding, "I also like mala huoguo and malatang."
Baek Jong-won immediately said, "To make malatang, you just need to buy sausages and fish cakes," handing money to the Nongbengers.
Lee Sun-bin was touched, saying, "I can't believe I'm eating Baek Jong-won’s food," and revealed her fandom by saying, "I'm so nervous because of Baek Jong-won, and I'm a fan of Yoo Byung-jae. I even have merchandise. I have a Byung-jae sticker."
Lee Sun-bin said, "I like Yoo Byung-jae so much that I feel like I've already met him," expressing her delight. Yoo Byung-jae smugly replied, "Feels like seeing a star, right?"
Baek Jong-won, Lee Sun-bin, and the Nongbengers enjoyed a warm meal of hand-pulled dough soup together.
Baek Jong-won said, "I will continue this emotion by making malatang," and began preparing the ingredients again.
When asked if she had ever worked in China, Lee Sun-bin replied, "Somehow, I joined an acting agency and went to China for the first time to do a drama. I worked with senior Kim Tae-hee."
Regarding the completed malatang, Yang Se-hyung praised it, saying, "The advantage of malatang is that it's spicy and stimulating, but it contains many healthy ingredients, so I feel less guilty about my body."
Customers returned to the once-empty "Delicious Rendezvous" plaza. Baek Jong-won announced, "We plan to prepare food simply. We will make potato pancakes using potatoes and Korean pork."
The citizens watched the "Delicious Rendezvous" members working while waiting for the food.
Yang Se-hyung showed how to render pork fat for the waiting citizens.
Then Yang Se-hyung introduced Baek Jong-won to the citizens, saying, "He is the 14th richest conglomerate in South Korea with assets of 830 billion won." Baek Jong-won retorted with mock anger, saying, "Hey, you!"
