[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Gwyneth Paltrow (49), a Hollywood actress and entrepreneur in the United States who was infected with COVID-19 and recovered, has attracted attention by revealing that 'kimchi' helped her health recovery.

According to CNN on the 17th (local time), Paltrow stated on the website of the magazine 'Goop' she founded that she has been suffering from aftereffects such as chronic fatigue and 'brain fog' after recovering from COVID-19.

Brain fog is a condition where a person feels mentally clouded as if there is fog in the head, accompanied by symptoms such as decreased concentration and memory, loss of appetite, fatigue, and depression.

Paltrow said about her health, "Recently, my inflammation levels in the body increased, so I underwent tests and was told by medical staff that it is a long-term process of recovering from COVID-19."

She then introduced her diet for health management, especially mentioning that she eats 'kimchi.'

She said, "These days, I have been cooking," and introduced, "I made scallops with crispy capers and sage, bacon asparagus seasoned with vinegar, and artichokes stuffed with herbs and garlic."

She added, "I also discovered an excellent sugar-free kimchi (Mejiseu brand sugar-free kimchi), which is an amazing food," praising it.

Paltrow also said she avoids sugar and alcohol intake and takes supplements for gut health.

She has previously shown a special affection for K-food, such as uploading videos of herself eating Korean bibimbap on YouTube, which became a hot topic.

She debuted in 1991 with the movie 'Shout of Passion' and has appeared in dozens of works including 'Avengers,' 'Spider-Man,' and 'Iron Man,' boasting a brilliant award history including the Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Awards.
