[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Samchuly Bicycle announced on the 18th that it will expand the basic installation rate of transportation accessories in the new product lineup of its personal mobility brand 'Phantom' up to 81% to strengthen transportation functions.
Among the 16 newly launched personal mobility lineup models, baskets were installed as standard on 10 models, and rear racks on 13 models.
Last year, Samchuly Bicycle's personal mobility sales grew significantly, increasing by 67.6% compared to the previous year. In particular, as the usage range expanded to daily life activities such as commuting and grocery shopping after COVID-19, and the number of delivery workers using personal mobility increased, sales of rear racks and baskets also rose by 37.5% compared to the previous year.
Samchuly Bicycle expanded the size of rear racks and reinforced the strength of baskets compared to previous models, including city-type bicycles mainly used in urban areas, hybrid types, and folding models. For the popular urban model 'Phantom City,' a rear rack 15% larger than the previous model was installed to enhance transportation functions. The new folding electric bicycle 'Phantom FE' is equipped with a detachable basket made of fabric, allowing the basket to be used while riding and minimizing the basket's volume when folding and carrying the product.
Additionally, the electric scooter 'Phantom Sitter,' first introduced by Samchuly Bicycle last year, features a highly durable steel basket with a cover to improve cargo storage convenience. The three-wheeled bicycle 'E-Roadstar' is designed to carry a large amount of cargo by equipping a stainless steel front basket and a folding steel basket on the rear wheel.
