[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] Hyosung Group-affiliated electronic payment company Galaxia Money Tree recorded the upper price limit for the second consecutive day on the 18th, breaking its 52-week high.
Galaxia Money Tree rose 29.90% to 7,950 won immediately after the market opened that day. The company had been on an upward trend since the 15th and closed at the upper price limit of 6,120 won the previous day.
Galaxia Money Tree decided to link its domestic simple payment service 'Zero Pay' with China's top card operator UnionPay (UPI), following Tencent's 'WeChat Pay.' Through QR payment linkage with UnionPay, outbound payments (domestic consumers' payments at overseas merchants) using Zero Pay are expected to become available within this year.
