Mesh Korea Successfully Concludes '2021 Burung Awards' Festival for Burung Delivery Drivers At the 2021 Burung Awards held on the 16th, Mesh Korea CEO Yujeongbeom and the award recipients pledged their commitment to safe delivery for the Burung family.

Mesh Korea (CEO Yoo Jung-beom), a comprehensive digital logistics company operating the logistics brand ‘VROONG,’ announced that it successfully held the ‘2021 VROONG Awards,’ a festival for VROONG delivery drivers, on the 16th at the Textile Center Event Hall in Daechi-dong, Seoul.

This event was conducted via an untact (contactless) YouTube online live broadcast, reflecting the overall social atmosphere due to the spread of COVID-19. Under strict COVID-19 prevention guidelines, about 1,000 people, excluding the main award recipients, MC, and presenters, participated in the ceremony through monitors in an untact attendance format.

The ‘2021 VROONG Awards,’ hosted by Mesh Korea, was organized to express gratitude for the hard work of delivery drivers who quietly provided VROONG’s delivery services on-site throughout 2020. It is an awards ceremony that Mesh Korea has been holding since 2019 to improve the working environment and social perception of VROONG delivery drivers’ occupations.

Mesh Korea held the ‘VROONG Awards’ again in 2021, following 2019, to motivate VROONG delivery drivers to take pride in their jobs and grow together with the company as partners.

The awards ceremony began with a welcoming speech by Mesh Korea CEO Yoo Jung-beom, followed by the presentation of grand prizes and excellence awards to exemplary delivery drivers in various categories such as delivery quality, distance traveled, attendance days, and stations. Prizes included luxury motorcycles, department store gift certificates, and dining vouchers. A total of 25 VROONG delivery drivers were selected across nine categories, including last-mile and fulfillment sectors. Based on a comprehensive evaluation of scores in each category, delivery driver Lee Sang-hoon from the Daegu Hwanggeum branch was honored with the ‘VROONG Family of the Year’ grand prize.

Finally, the awardees, together with online attendees, pledged the ‘VROONG Family Safe Delivery Promise,’ prioritizing safety to protect themselves, their families, and others, and to provide the best delivery service from the customer’s perspective, thus concluding the ‘2021 VROONG Awards.’

Mesh Korea CEO Yoo Jung-beom said, “The reason Mesh Korea was able to grow throughout 2020 is thanks to the delivery drivers who worked hard to provide VROONG services to customers,” adding, “We plan to actively support the improvement of working conditions and social recognition for VROONG delivery drivers going forward.”

Meanwhile, based on the corporate philosophy of “The purest value of one won in the world,” Mesh Korea continues efforts in various ways to improve the working environment of logistics industry workers, including VROONG delivery drivers. To this end, Mesh Korea was the first in the industry to fully cover accident insurance premiums for delivery drivers and established a dedicated mobile phone plan for delivery drivers to reduce communication costs, striving to enhance the welfare of VROONG delivery drivers.
