[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Wider Planet, recently listed on the KOSDAQ market, is soaring. It appears that the surge in Coupang-related stocks in the domestic stock market has stimulated investor sentiment.

At 9:45 a.m. on the 15th, Wider Planet was trading at 29,800 KRW, up 18.69% from the previous trading day.

Wider Planet was listed on the KOSDAQ market on the 3rd with a public offering price of 16,000 KRW.

Wider Planet is a big data and AI platform company that maximizes advertising effectiveness by understanding consumer behavior and preferences. Established in 2010, Wider Planet holds anonymized consumer behavior and preference data for about 43 million individuals. It has secured major domestic and international clients ranging from Coupang to Baidu and Alibaba.

Sejong Hong, a researcher at Shinhan Financial Investment, explained, "We need to consider the possibility of programmatic buying being allowed by the largest domestic media," adding, "It is necessary to induce an increase in the selling price of major DA advertising slots by expanding the market share of latecomers."

He continued, "If the programmatic buying ratio, currently only 20%, can rise to the global average level, it could become a significant growth driver," adding, "The digital world is becoming more diverse with the increase of e-commerce platforms, new apps, and specialized media channels for specific purposes."

He emphasized, "The large number of freely tradable shares immediately after listing caused a sharp drop in the stock price," and added, "This provides a good buying opportunity." Furthermore, he analyzed, "There is absolutely no problem with Wider Planet's fundamentals," and "I maintain a mid- to long-term target price perspective of 50,000 KRW."

He stated, "In the short term, to reduce the gap between the target price and the current price, I suggest 32,000 KRW," and added, "I applied a target multiple of 32 times to the 2022 EPS."
