[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Gmarket and Auction announced on the 15th that they will simultaneously hold a 'Digital Furniture Big Sale' until midnight on the 23rd.
More than 100 leading domestic and international home appliance and furniture brands are participating, with over 70% of them being brand manufacturers directly conducting the event. In particular, about 30 premium brands are offering brand-exclusive discount coupons to expand the range of benefits. These brands include ▲Samsung Electronics ▲LG Electronics ▲Dyson ▲Philips ▲Apple ▲Everybot ▲Hanssem ▲Livart ▲Ace Bed ▲Roborock, among others.
Big sale exclusive discount coupons will be provided three times, once every three days. Premium membership Smile Club members will receive three types of '20% discount coupons.' These can be used for purchases of 100,000 KRW, 30,000 KRW, and 10,000 KRW or more, respectively. For purchases over 100,000 KRW, discounts of up to 200,000 KRW are available, while the maximum discount for coupons usable on purchases over 30,000 KRW and 10,000 KRW are 30,000 KRW and 10,000 KRW, respectively. Regular members will receive one type of '20% discount coupon' that offers up to 200,000 KRW discount on purchases over 100,000 KRW.
There are also additional card company discount benefits. From the 15th to the 17th, if you pay 500,000 KRW or more with a Smile Card, you can get a billing discount of up to 50,000 KRW. Interest-free installments for up to 20 months are also available.
An eBay Korea official said, "This year, with social distancing measures in place, online purchases of home appliances and furniture are expected to increase significantly," adding, "By utilizing big data from previous events, we have carefully selected popular seasonal brands and products, providing an opportunity to purchase desired items at special prices."
