[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Lee Nak-yeon, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 11th, "We will definitely win the April by-elections and successfully conclude the Moon Jae-in administration."
In an ARS voice message for Lunar New Year sent to party members, Lee said, "I ask all party comrades to unite once again."
He emphasized, "Thanks to all party comrades, the Democratic Party achieved a landslide victory in last spring's general election," and "As a result, at the end of last year, we legislated many major reforms including the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (HCIA) Act."
He added, "Now, we will continue with reforms of the prosecution and the media."
Lee also said, "It has been over a year since we have been fighting COVID-19," and added, "Let us overcome this hardship together without fail."
